Okay I’m obsessed with J.Crew. I could live there, but in reality I can’t because it’s really expensive. It’s totally unreasonable to think that $150 blazers and $80 dress pants need to be a part of your uniform if you’re just starting out, like for your first job or an internship. I does not, however, mean that you have to result to throwing together random pieces from the fake business clothes juniors section at JCP. That’s also unacceptable. There are so many great options that are budget friendly and will leave you looking put together for your first day on the job or for that job fair.
H&M is a great option, especially if you’re more trendy. They have a great mix of business and casual items, and they always seem to have whatever I need at a really great price. Check out their new fall collection that will help you stay on top of style and also keep you looking professional. I have a lot of great cardigans that I’ve also gotten from them that are perfect for when the A/C is just a bit too much like an igloo at work.
If you’ve read any of my fashion posts, you should know that I’m a definite proponent of Old Navy. It’s bad, sometimes I try to shop elsewhere but somehow end up back on their homepage every time. They have a more relaxed work that’s perfect for everyday, and plus they have great staples like this blazer and some great shift dresses that will become weekly wears quickly. And if you’re in the need for dress pants, their Pixie pants are honestly my favorites, so extremely comfortable, really fun prints and colors, and a great price.
Outlet malls are perfect for posts like this, and no other outlet store can top J.Crew Factory. There are always great sales and deals, and they usually have free shipping of some kind online! Nothing beats their style for business casual, and their pieces are so classic they can last for years. Some of my favorite go-to items are old J.Crew Factory favorites that I could never part with.
