Boston Packing List for Summer

We’re headed to Boston so soon! I can’t believe this trip is already here, it’s something that we started planning last fall (apple picking day to be exact) and now that it’s here I can’t wait and I’ve already started packing!
Our last big vacation was Jamaica for our honeymoon in the end of October, so to say we need an adventure is an understatement. It’s hard when life gets so busy and the to-do lists pile up to take the time to go on vacation, but it’s definitely a needed break.

We have a lot of our must-do’s planned out, including going to Fenway, tasting some brews at Samuel Adams, and taking a historical Freedom Trail Tour.
I’m starting to look through my closet and figure out what to wear while exploring this new city. I’m coming up with 2 problems currently, the first being everything I have is work appropriate, which is fine in some cases but not great for vacation. The second being that I still need to go shopping for summer! Because of this, I’ve been doing some browsing and found some pieces I might need to grab before hitting the road, but will also be good for the rest of summer, too.

Another big thing we’re packing, a travel picnic blanket, that way we can relax in some of the great parks. Our plan is to be able to grab lunch to go and relax outside, enjoying people watching and the beautiful (fingers-crossed) weather. I got a blanket as a wedding gift, but other great options would be the Pocket Blanket from Matador or the Outdoor Master Pocket Blanket.

Also, I’m debating getting these shoes from J.Crew, I need some comfy tennis shoes that aren’t too old lady like for wandering the streets and walking through the airport, but I’m 50/50 on the gold. I might just end up getting some new black nikes, what do you think?!
