I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like this year people are glazing right over Thanksgiving and going straight in to Christmas. It’s a shame because there is so much to be excited about over Thanksgiving, the great food, family, fall weather, food. Yes, food was said twice, no that was not a mistake.
I love the classic staples of thanksgiving, the stuffing, the turkey, the bread pudding my mom makes every year. It’s amazing that we wait all year for this dinner we get to share together, it’s gotta be some pretty good food.
Usually we would do a friendsgiving up at school the weekend before we all went back. Everyone would bring a dish to pass, cram around the tiny tables in our apartments, drink just too much wine, and celebrate the passing of midterms and the fact that it hadn’t snowed yet (well, some years).
I wanted to share some recipes this year that would be great at the family table or the friends table and make your life a little easier. I feel like cooking for thanksgiving is such a daunting task, when really a lot of the classic recipes are pretty simple. Here’s some great recipes you should try out if you’re not sure what to bring over this year.
Okay I need to wrap this post up because my mouth is already watering, but I’m so excited to try these bloggers’ great recipes and to sit on the couch completely stuffed on Thursday. I hope you all have an amazing holiday with friends, family, football and food. Enjoy!
