I think fall is my favorite season to dress for. I love sundresses and sandals in the summer, but nothing beats the great layering, cozy scarves, and classic boots of autumn. Thanksgiving is such a fun holiday to dress up for too, even though it can be a bit of a challenge considering you’ll need to be comfortable for being extremely full later on.
Usually I fall in more of a preppy, classic style with lots of black. I love plaids and mixing of different classic prints. I always want to try and dress trendy, but most of the time end up leaning towards J.Crew instead of Forever21.
Here’s a couple of different options for the big turkey day if you still need some inspiration or ideas! There’s a outfit for every style, hopefully you can find something you love that also allows you to eat all of the stuffing on the table.
I’ll honestly probably end up wearing something like this on Thanksgiving! We’re usually not too fancy with our family, and my L.L.Bean flannel is one of my top 10 favorite pieces in my wardrobe.
I love this poncho! It’s not something I could wear every day, but a special occasion like thanksgiving would be perfect to try it out. It’s not too dressy, but still looks like you didn’t roll out of bed, so win, win.
I’m obsessed with this skirt, it’s probably going to be added to my wardrobe on Black Friday because it’s just too cute. Plaid + stripes is also a really easy way to add a little something extra to your outfit without trying to hard.
I normally don’t dress really trendy, but every once in a while I’ll try out something that’s a little different, as long as it’s not too far out there. This black little skirt is a perfect way to follow the 90’s trend but without being too crazy. Plus those over the knee boots are such a statement and are now a fall staple for this year.
